  About Us

Education For Life- Kenya (EFL) is a National Team of qualified Facilitators. We are committed to helping people develop holistically and make value-based life decisions. We desire to make Behaviour Change Possible, Sustainable and Rewarding!

EFL uses a participatory approach - people share personal problems, experiences and hopes. Frank discussion of cultural and gender issues creates awareness of rights, enabling people to develop sensitivity and integrity in relationships. Open debate on the advantages and disadvantages of different decisions leaves each person free to make a personal choice. Counselling and survival / life skills are offered to counteract negative pressure, and to address factors, such as victimisation and impoverished circumstances, which work against behaviour change. We stress sustaining one’s choice through follow-ups, e.g. supportive EFL courses and joining positive peer groups.

Education For Life- Kenya (EFL) is project of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa (FMSA). It was begun in 1994 and operates under the auspices of the Kenya Episcopal Conference – KEC (Catholic Bishops). EFL programmes are open to all Faiths and Peoples.

EFL is based at the National Catholic Youth Headquarters, Mji Wa Furaha, Nairobi, Kenya. We welcome you to join with us in bringing fullness of life to all!

Breaks on our cars are regulators too. Our breaks won’t help if we drive recklessly or never actually use the breaks!. We will crash. The same applies to our lives. We need good breaks on our thoughts, words and actions. We need to know how to stop ourselves from thinking the worst of a person or tribe; planning the death or failure of another; envying the good things others have; ignoring our conscience till it is dead.click here
